Nashville Business Journal: Pitmaster Pat Martin on Restaurant industry During Covid

Folks, this COVID-19 mess has done a number of our industry, no way around it. As much as we care about the safety of our employees and our guests, we also had to get creative when it came to simply keepin’ the doors open for business.

Breaking even is what we call success these days. And we’re thankful for that success, lots of folks weren’t so lucky.

The Nashville Business Journal sat down with our founder Pat Martin to discuss survival during the pandemic. Hopefully what he shares can help other businesses strugglin’ to get by during these unprecedented times.

‘The new word for profit is breaking even,’ Martin told the Nashville Business Journal. ‘That’s the new thumbs up or success in the restaurant business when you say ‘How are you doing?’ and someone says, ‘Well, I’m breaking even.’ That’s great, man.’
